Ridley Scott has recently confirmed that a long-awaited sequel to Alien: Covenant is in development, with Michael Fassbender’s android David front and center.

The Dog Stars is currently getting thrashed by critics.

"I didn't know the book and Peter Heller," Scott tells PEOPLE. "And I knew of Mark Smith."
