I recently had a tour inside the iconic Niagara Mohawk Building - probably Syracuse’s most famous structure. The building opened in 1932 and at that time was headquarters for the Niagara Hudson Power Corporation. It was designed by Syracuse-based architects Melvin L. King and Bley & Lyman of Buffalo. After a series of utility mergers, the company became Niagara Mohawk Power Corporation, and later @nationalgrid, which still occupies the building today. #syracusehistory #syracuse #artdeco | Syracu
