The Himalayas, one of the world's tallest mountain ranges, were formed around 50 million years ago due to the collision between the Indian Plate and the Eurasian Plate. As the Indian Plate moved northward, it collided with the Eurasian Plate, causing the Earth's crust to crumple and uplift, creating the towering Himalayas.
